Contact and complaints

v1.0.02026-08-20Draft

Document under review. This is not the version in force yet and should not be considered final.

What this page is for

DOPPLOS is an online intermediary service, and as such it must state clearly and plainly how to reach it: to report content, to appeal a decision we made about an account, or to contact us as an authority.

This page exists so that route never has to be hunted for.

How to contact us

What for Where In which language
Report content, an account or a behaviour abuse@dopplos.com English or Spanish
Appeal a decision we made about your account abuse@dopplos.com, subject “Appeal” English or Spanish
Legal matters and requests from authorities legal@dopplos.com English or Spanish
Data protection and exercising your rights see Privacy English or Spanish

You do not need an account or a login to write to us. We do not require a specific form either: an email saying what happened and where is enough.

What helps us resolve it faster

None of this is required (we act on incomplete reports too), but the more of it you bring, the sooner it is resolved:

  • Where: the avatar or account name, and the chat or screen where you saw it.
  • What: which content or behaviour you believe should not be there.
  • When: approximate date and time.
  • How to reach you, if you want to be told how it ended.

What we do with your report

  1. Acknowledgement. We confirm we received it.
  2. Review. A person reviews it. Decisions that restrict or close an account are not taken by an automated system on its own: see How we use AI.
  3. Decision. It may be removing the content, restricting an account’s reach, suspending it, or concluding that no measure is warranted.
  4. Reply. We tell you what we decided and why, with the specific reasons.

Reports pointing to a minor or to a risk to someone’s safety are treated as priority and skip the queue. See Adults only.

If you disagree with a decision of ours

You can appeal, at no cost:

  • Write to abuse@dopplos.com with the subject “Appeal”, within six months of the decision. It is reviewed by a person other than the one who decided.
  • If our reply does not satisfy you, you may turn to an out-of-court dispute settlement body of those provided for by the European digital services rules. Our participation in that procedure does not prevent you from going to court afterwards.
  • And you may always go straight to the courts, without going through any of the above.

This applies whether the decision was to remove something of yours or not to remove something you reported.

Authorities

Requests from judicial or administrative authorities should be sent to legal@dopplos.com, stating the legal basis and the deadline. We accept communications in English and Spanish.

The identifying details of the service operator are in the Legal notice.

What this page is not

  • It is not technical support. If something is broken, write to the app’s support channel.
  • It is not the data protection channel. To access, rectify or erase your data, or to object to processing, see Privacy.
