The basics
- What is DOPPLOS?
- A dating app with no swiping and no first message to write. Each person has a Digital Twin, an AI Agent that talks the way they do, and the Twins get to know each other first. Only if the connection is real and mutual does the chat between the two people open.
- How does it work?
- You create your Twin, it talks to other people’s Twins and, when a connection is real and goes both ways, the chat between the two of you opens.The five steps, one by one
- How is it different from swipe apps?
- In a swipe app you choose by a photo and you write to someone you do not know. Here there are no profiles to flick through and no first message: the Twins have the first conversation, and only whoever passes that filter reaches you.DOPPLOS and Tinder, side by side
- How is it different from an assistant that writes my messages?
- That kind of assistant helps you write to people on other apps. Your Twin does not write to people: it talks to other Twins inside DOPPLOS, and only when there is a connection does it introduce you.
Your Twin
- Does my Twin talk to people or only to other Twins?
- Only to other Twins. The first conversation is always between yours and the other person’s.
- Does the other person know a Twin is talking?
- Yes. On DOPPLOS everyone knows the first conversation is between Twins: it is how the app works, not something that is hidden.How we use AI
- What if my Twin says something I would not say?
- It learns from how you talk and puts what you said you will not tolerate first. If you want it to say something specific, you write it and your Twin delivers it. And once the chat between people opens, you are the one writing.
- Can I tell my Twin what to say?
- Yes. In each conversation you tell it where you want to get to, what tone to use and what limits to respect. And if you want it to say something specific, you write it and your Twin passes it on in its own voice.
- Can I see what my Twin is saying?
- Yes. You can read your Twin’s conversation. And when two Twins cannot move forward, the connection goes on hold: you read it, look at its analysis and decide whether it continues or you dismiss it.
- What is Cupido?
- The DOPPLOS dating assistant. It looks at your conversations, likes and matches, tells you who it makes most sense to talk to or meet and why, and drafts a message that is only sent if you confirm it. It is available on the plans that include it.What an AI dating app is
Privacy and safety
- What does my Twin share about me?
- It speaks with its own identity, not yours. Your email, your phone, your exact location and your surname never leave the platform, neither towards the other person nor inside the conversation.Privacy policy
- Who watches the conversations?
- An AI Agent supervises every conversation as it happens. It detects aggression, harassment, manipulation and pressure, and responds in proportion, from a warning to a suspension, without waiting for anyone to report it.
- How do I delete my account and my Twin?

Availability
- When is the app coming out?
- DOPPLOS is in development and the app is not yet published on the App Store or Google Play. We will not give a date until we have one. The first two cities where it will open are Barcelona and Madrid.DOPPLOS in Barcelona
