Adults Only (18+)

The rule

DOPPLOS is only for people aged 18 or over. There is no version of this service for minors, and there is no way to use it lawfully if you are under 18.

Why we are strict about it

DOPPLOS is a dating service. It puts adults in contact with other adults for a romantic or personal purpose. A minor inside that context is exposed to harm that no moderation system removes afterwards, so the correct place to stop it is at the door.

We also treat this as a compliance duty, not only an ethical one: Article 5(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 prohibits AI systems that exploit vulnerabilities arising from age.

How we check

• You must declare your date of birth when you create your account. Declaring a false age is a breach of our Terms and grounds for immediate termination.
• Our moderation systems and our staff act on any signal that an account belongs to a minor.
• Anyone can report a suspected underage account at abuse@dopplos.com.

What happens when we find a minor

The account is suspended immediately and the personal data associated with it is deleted, except what we are legally required to keep. Any active subscription is cancelled and refunded for the unused period.

If you are a parent or guardian

Write to abuse@dopplos.com. If you tell us that an account belongs to a person under 18 we act on it as a priority, and we will confirm to you what we did.
